I bought probably 5 different adapters from the local big box stores trying to adapt shop vac hose to 2 1/2″ DC fittings and none of them worked. I ordered one of these as a last resort and I’m glad I did- the tapered design fits snug down in a 2 1/2″ DC port and doesn’t come out without really pulling on it.
Worth every penny for hooking up to my random orbital sander and saving my lungs.
